Moment in time

Tuesday 21st May 2019 As I started to walk up the hill excitement built up inside me. My legs started pumping while getting closer to the top. I started to sprint to the top with nothing holding me back. First glance at the beautiful site I thought I was dreaming. I pinch myself just in case I wasn't dreaming. I looked around and kids size brightened with delight. The colours of the sky was hypnotising the kids. We had never seen such a beautiful view and I'll whole lives. The sun was as bright as a light. Everyone's eyes dazzled in the sunlight. The colours dark and just time was leaving. Walking down I could hear the sun saying goodbye. We took one last look as it was gone. I knew I could remember this every time I saw a sunset there was nothing more beautiful as what I had seen today.

Black out poem

For Anzac day we made a black out poem. It was really fun to make. Everyone in our class made one and we put them around our kiwi that we made for the Christchurch shooting. We designed it with red poppies and guns to represent the war. It was really cool to make something like this because it means a lot to people that lot there loved ones in the war. Hope you like the black out poems we made.

Chinese in New Zealand

"Still we come for more gold,

for our family's back at home, 

poll tax to expensive,

gold help us,

but New Zealand stop us."

Today we made a poem about the chinese in new zealand. Our mayor of gisborne came in and told us some stories about his history and his language. It was really cool to meet him and we asked him some open questions.

Famous New Zealander

Today we learnt how to screen record our work by using screencastify. We also made a little poster about a famous person from New Zealand. It was cool to cooperate with others to help them. It explains why we chose this person and has 3 facts about them.

Hi my name is Elle and I am 12 years old.

I go to Gisborne Intermediate.

I have 1 brother and no sisters, also have no pets but wish I had a dog.

I love to listen to music and I mainly listen to marshmello, ariana and calpurnia.

My favourite sport is soccer and hockey but I play soccer more.

My favourite subject in school is tech or maths.

My cousins rather live in Christchurch, Auckland, Australia and Whales but most of them live in Christchurch.

This is my second year at Gis int and I'm still in the same base LH10 but now called LH8.

In the summer holidays I went to Taupo for christmas and had a awesome pool party with my best friend Alex for New Years!
